In today's increasingly digital world, access to technology is no longer a luxury—it is a fundamental part of learning, skill development, and future readiness. At the Saleem and Munira Merchant Charitable Foundation, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to develop the digital skills needed to succeed in a technology-driven future, regardless of their socio-economic background.

With this vision, we supported Al-Hira English High School through the donation of 30 computers, helping create greater access to digital learning opportunities for students from Grade 1 to Grade 10. For many students, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, access to computers outside the classroom can be limited. By providing this facility within the school environment, we hope to bridge that gap and enable students to build familiarity and confidence with technology from an early age.

The computers provide students with opportunities to learn essential digital skills, including Microsoft Office applications, typing, internet research, basic coding, graphic design, and other technology-based competencies that are increasingly valuable in both higher education and the workplace. More importantly, they create an environment where students can explore, learn, and engage with technology in meaningful ways.

This initiative is particularly meaningful to us because digital literacy has become one of the most important skills of the modern era. By providing access to technology today, we hope to empower students with the confidence, knowledge, and skills needed to thrive in the digital world of tomorrow.
