A Science & Practical Learning Initiative

Quality education extends beyond textbooks—it requires opportunities for students to explore, experiment, and learn through experience. With this belief, the Saleem and Munira Merchant Charitable Foundation supported the establishment of a Science Laboratory at Navjyoti School, a State Government-recognised school run by Navjeevan in Murbad.

The school provides education and residential support to orphaned children while also serving students from nearby villages and communities. Recognising the importance of practical learning in science education, we partnered with the school to set up a dedicated laboratory equipped with the necessary furniture and scientific equipment, creating an environment where students can engage with scientific concepts beyond the classroom.

The laboratory has become an important learning resource for students, enabling hands-on experiments, fostering curiosity, and encouraging a deeper understanding of science. We are delighted to see young minds benefiting from this facility every day, gaining exposure to practical learning experiences that can inspire future academic and career aspirations.

By strengthening educational infrastructure, we hope to create opportunities that nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong interest in learning among the students who walk through its doors.
